Actor Replicas

Often times "fake heads" of actors are used in effects sequences. Commonly a life cast of the actor is utilized in designing the replica, capturing the subtle details of ones features. Many different materials can be used to fabricate a realistic replica. Silicone heads in particular add a semi translucent look to the skin and can be made to replicate the feel and movement of real flesh. The realism of such replicas can be quite startling.
